As a child I had many aspirations, to become a lawyer, a politician, or a teacher. These careers were in retrospect a way to help others. Although I did not enter any of my aspiring career choices, I fell into the insurance industry at a very young age and never looked back. My calling, commercial insurance specialization, has allowed me to be both a support and guide to my clients – I enjoy helping businesses properly insure themselves.
My commercial insurance career spans over 35 years, starting first as an intern at CIGNA., and evolving to Nationwide where I was an associate agent for more than ten years. Sentry Insurance was my home for the next five years; there, I was a business products specialist. I managed the commercial department for two Allstate offices next, and then for the remaining years I worked in the independent agency/brokerage space – in both sales and service capacities.
When I am not working in my profession, I enjoy traveling with my husband, dining out, supporting the performing arts, and spending quality time with my family and grand-dogs.
