I have always loved children and teaching; since my favorite teacher taught second grade, I decided that I too wanted to teach second grade. That is until I grew into adulthood, and became a mother; that’s when I realized teaching was probably not for me, as I was perfectly happy teaching the one child of my own.

Initially starting as receptionist for an insurance brokerage, I have since worked all the various roles and find that I love the industry and how it can impact others positively. The ability to swiftly learn and master each role has been integral in my career advancement. Having worked with a variety of clientele has afforded me the aptitude, and experience, necessary to deliver quality service to everyone I am responsible for. I also very much enjoy analyzing risk, and identifying creative ways to solve critical issues; my keen sense of organization enables me to follow through on commitments and meet deadlines. I do all of this knowing that I am properly protecting what matters most to my clients, and this has been my purpose all along – helping others through proper risk management and insurance.

Over the years, I have earned recognition for my studies in the field. I currently hold the Certified Insurance Service Representative, or CISR, and the Certified Insurance Counselor, or CIC designations awarded by The National Alliance, a well-respected industry education provider. I also have earned the Construction Risk and Insurance Specialist, or CRIS designation from the International Risk Management Institute, or IRMI. Because I will forever be a student of the industry, I am currently working towards my Certified Risk Manager, or CRM, and the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter, or CPCU designations – both of which are the equal to a master’s degree in scope and depth. As you can see, I am dedicated to my clients and prove this through my commitment to learning, to continuing education, and will take every opportunity presented to progressively expand on my insurance knowledge so that I can be a valued advisor and technician in the placement of insurance.
